Beaujolais
Les Bruyères - 2018 - Jonathan Purcell
Vin Noé
A solar vintage that has aged superbly and promises to continue improving for many years in the cellar. A nose of small black berries and plum, with notes of cinnamon, pepper and flowers. With a velvety palate, and complex, almost umami-like flavours, it’s one of our great favourites!

A collaborative cuvée produced with the help of Christopher Santini, at his winery in Auxey-Duresses. 100% Gamay from organically-farmed vines, it is made from grapes purchased from Frédéric Berne, one of the winegrowers spearheading the renaissance of the Beaujolais-Lantignié appellation! Natural vinification: whole bunches undergo semi-carbonic maceration for two weeks, followed by 12 months of maturation in concrete vats. Bottled without fining or filtration, and just a microdose of sulphur at bottling.
