A complex nose with notes of ripe fruit, plum, and blackcurrants... Palate: full bodied, frank, and profound, with mellow tannins, and a precise finish. By pushing the maturation further, Pierre has created a wine of exquisite substance.
100% Pinot Noir from a 49-are parcel of more than 60-year-old vines, planted by massal selection at the Les Clos Roussots vineyard site and Climat. Cultivated biodynamically, with ploughing of the soil, no chemicals, and harvesting by hand in small crates. Vinification: whole grape bunches are placed in wooden vats for a light extraction, some pumping over, a little cap punching, and 18 months of maturation on the lees in barrels that have seen several wines. Neither filtered, nor fined, and zero added sulphur.
