100% Chardonnay from nearly 80-year-old vines, grown biodynamically and planted on clay soils that have been plowed and with grass between the rows. Hand-harvested, the whole bunches are slowly pressed in a pneumatic press, natural vinification, aging on fine lees in barrels that have seen several wines for 12 to 36 months since this is a blend of the 2019 and 2021 vintages. Short passage in vats before bottling, without fining, filtration, or any addition of sulfites.

Philippe Valette represents the third generation of vignerons to run this 8.5 ha estate (15 ha if we count the vines of his brother Baptiste) located in Chaintré, a village on the border between the Mâconnais and Beaujolais appellations.
