Cheverny "Rouillon" - 2022 - Thierry Puzelat

Clos Tue-Boeuf

A complex nose, a dense framework of black fruits warmed by long pepper, and balanced by a vegetal touch. Digestible and luscious mouth, nice velvety texture. A real favorite!

A blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Gamay, grown organically and planted on a soil of flinty clay. The vines are around 20 years old, and they are co-planted, meaning that all grape varieties are harvested and vinified at the same time on this 1.9-hectare parcel. Viticulture and vinification are 100% natural, harvesting is done by hand of course. Low extraction, soft pressing, this cuvée is matured 6 months in demi-muid barrels. Bottled at the Estate on the 17th of February 2023 without any fining or filtration, just a tiny dose of sulphur.
