A complex nose, a dense framework of black fruits warmed by long pepper, and balanced by a vegetal touch. Digestible and luscious mouth, nice velvety texture. A real favorite!
50% Pinot Noir and 50% Gamay, grown organically and planted on a soil of flinty clay. The vines are around 20 years old, and they are co-planted, meaning that all grape varieties are harvested and vinified at the same time on this 1.9-hectare parcel. Viticulture and vinification are 100% natural, harvesting is done by hand of course. Low extraction, soft pressing, this cuvée is matured 11 months in demi-muid barrels. Without any fining or filtration, bottled on the 5th of August 2024 no added sulphur.
Thierry Puzelat took over the family estate a few decades ago, 13 ha in Touraine, in the Loir-et-Cher. Time and a series of encounters would put him on the path to natural wines.
