An immediately captivating and sparkling nose, with notes of red fruit jam, leather, spices, plum and prune… this Merlot by Reynaud is simply beautiful! The palate is tender and warm, rich and velvety, with silky tannins and a sublime, lingering finish.
100% Merlot from old vines planted in the Sarrians area, on clay-limestone and sandy soils with scattered rolled pebbles. While not certified organic, the vines are farmed without any chemical inputs, using only substances you could "drink or breathe." The grapes were harvested by hand with low yields. Vinification: spontaneous fermentation, gentle extraction, long ageing over several years in old casks.
