Rhône Valley
Bleu ciel - 2022 - Julien Mary
Domaine de la Goguette
Very complex, deep nose, with notes of candied fruit, panettone, a hint of very subtle oak. The palate is in harmony with the nose: rich while remaining highly digestible (sulphur-free!), beautiful volume, long finish.

Grenache Blanc from young vines planted on the banks of the river; with Bourboulenc from 40-year-old vines planted on predominantly limestone soils and facing South. Direct pressing for the two grape varieties, the Grenache fermented in barrels that have seen several wines, 5 months of fermentation in vats on the lees. The Bourboulenc was aged for 5 months in stainless steel vats. Blend of the two grape varieties at the beginning of March, for a bottling at the estate at the end of April 2023, without fining or filtration, without added sulfites.
