Au Quin Château - 2020 - Julien Guillot
Clos des Vignes du Maynes
A Chardonnay that succeeds in being both fat and tense, carried by notes of pear, apricot, candied lemon, butter, a hint of fermentation. Perfectly balanced and long, big crush for this wine.

100% Chardonnay from young vines grown biodynamically (certification from the 2021 vintage, the plot has been rented for four years only), planted in Martailly-lès-Brancion on white marls and blue marls soils, rather close to Jura terroirs, while Cruzille appellation is known for its limestone soils! Manual harvest, direct pressing, one year aging in barrels, racking, then one year in enamelled vats. Bottled without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulphur.
