Le Clos Reyssié - Philippe Valette
Domaine Valette
A very expressive nose, with notes of brioche, hazelnut, mango, curry, and acacia... On the palate: beautiful tension, balance, boasting lovely bitter notes. An exceptional cuvée!

For the first time, a non-vintage Clos Reyssié, Baptiste and Philippe had been thinking about it for a long time, and it will probably be that way for future vintages! Chardonnay, from 70-year-old vines, grown on clay and limestone soil. Manual harvest and slow pressing. Very long aging (nearly 10 years for some of the juices) on fine lees in barrels that have seen 3 to 5 wines, then in vats.
