A Pinot Noir made from 60-year-old vines cultivated organically and planted on the Grand Clos des Epenots vineyard site, a 4.89-ha monopole owned by the estate. It is located north of Pommard, at the beginning of the hillside and facing east-west. The clay-limestone soil is brown with a plethora of limestone pebbles. Vinification with whole bunches, cold maceration, frequent punching of the cap and pumping over, a post-fermentation carbonic maceration, and 23 months maturation in oak barrels, a third of which are new. Neither fined nor filtered.
