Saint Aubin 1er Cru "La Sauvage" - 2021 - Jonathan Purcell
Vin Noé
A complex wine, made for cellaring and pairing with gastronomy, carried by notes of apricot and white fruits, hazelnut, brioche, and a hint of citrus. Again, a complex palate with huge volume and a long finish – cellar this a few years if you can.

Chardonnay from vines farmed organically since their planting in 2000, on a small 20-ares parcel in the La Chateniere climat. A steep slope, worked by horse and winch, and harvested by hand, with micro yields, around 15hl/ha. Vinification: direct pressing, soft and slow during one night in a vertical press, followed by 15 months of maturation in a solo 228-litre barrel that has seen several wines. Bottled in November 2022, without fining, filtration or added sulphites.
