La Chapitre - 2019 - Frantz Saumon - Magnum
Un Saumon dans la Loire
An intoxicating, insanely rich nose: notes of ripe fruits, undergrowth, brioche, white mushroom, truffle, and hints of minerals... Palate: a wine with huge volume, a mineral backbone and lovely acidity – a perfectly balanced cuvée with a long finish. A huge wine!

A 100% Chenin cuvée, from young vines of less than 10 years, cultivated organically and planted on the terroir of Montlouis-sur-Loire, with clay and flint soils over limestone bedrock. Yields are kept low, and the grapes are harvested by hand. Natural vinification: direct pressing, transfer into barrels that have seen several wines and in earthenware jar, followed by fermentation and maturation for 20 months. Bottled on the estate without fining or filtration.

Frantz Saumon
Frantz Saumon is one of those winemakers who are already well established on their terroir, but who actually arrived in the wine world by chance... Originally from Berry, this former forester who worked in Canada gave up everything to devote himself to his passion. This is the 90's... what a long way we have come! At this time, Frantz follows the very famous oenological formation of Amboise....
