Gamay - 2024 - Maison Stéphan
Jean-Michel Stéphan
What a brilliant idea to step outside of Stéphan’s usual terroir, to bring us a wine bursting with freshness, juicy and glouglou, on little red fruits and blackberry. A digestible palate that still carries depth, perfect right from the apéro!

First vintage for this cuvée produced from purchased grapes. 100% Gamay from young vines farmed organically, with grass growing between the rows, planted on the foothills of Mont Brouilly. Clay-limestone soils, a parcel located on windy plateaus. Manual harvest, vinification carried out in the cellars of Maison Stéphan: cold carbonic maceration, therefore in whole bunches, with indigenous yeasts, no pumping over, gentle pressing and 6 months of ageing in stainless steel vats. Bottled without fining or filtration, no added sulphur.
