Vin de Paille - 2011 - Valentin Morel
Les Pieds sur Terre
A powerful and complex nose with notes of roasted apricot, orange peel, acacia honey, hazelnut, and quince... Palate: a wine with a great deal of residual sugars, but balanced by just the right amount of acidity. A sublime sweet cuvée, at once rich, elegant and smooth. Bottle of 37,5 cl.

A cuvée produced by Valentin's father, not certified organic but produced completely naturally. A blend of Ploussard, Chardonnay, Savagnin and Trousseau, from over-ripe berries laid out to raisin over three months, then pressed between Christmas and New Year, and transferred into old barrels for two years of maturation. Bottled at the end of 2013 without added sulphites.
