A 100% Chardonnay cuvée, from vines planted in 1902 on the vineyard site ‘Les Chalasses’, a terroir composed of grey marl, and located on the small town of Vercia. Manual harvest and natural vinification: after direct pressing, this non-oxidative cuvée (made using ouillage or ‘topping up’ of the barrels) was aged in demi-muid barrels for four years on the lees, in a humid cellar. No added sulphur, and no fining or filtration.

Jean-François Ganevat represents the 14th generation of vignerons of his family in Rotalier, in the south of Jura. After years working as the cellar master of Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he took over his family’s estate in 1998.
