Loire Valley

Gondwana - 2020 - Adrien et Guillaume Pire

Château de Fosse-Sèche

A concentrated nose of cranberry, forest floor, pepper and subtle vegetal notes. The palate is pulpy, sapid, and mouthwatering, with great freshness and, as always, tremendous precision. The fine acidity promises superb ageing potential.

100% Cabernet Franc, from 60-year-old vines, grown biodynamically (the estate is certified organic by Ecocert and biodynamic by Biodyvin) and planted on a Jurassic-era plateau made up of siliceous gravel mixed with slightly clayey earth. Vinification is meticulous, 10 days of maceration with control of the temperatures, 14 months of aging in egg-shaped vats, on lees.
