Bulles d'Orange - 2022 - Philippe Viret

Domaine Viret

An orange sparkling wine that takes us off the beaten track... Citrus, mineral and floral notes on the nose. It combines the freshness of the effervescence with the depth and tannin from the maceration. A beautiful surprising cuvée.

Bourboulenc, Petit Manseng, Carignan Gris and Muscat of Alexandria from vines planted on pebbles and clay-limestone soils, grown using cosmoculture, the method developed by the estate. Harvested by hand. Total destemming, 36 hours of cold pellicular maceration followed by 3 to 6 months of maceration in amphorae, depending on the grape variety, blending of these orange wines that have finished their fermentation, gasification (Charmat method, as for Prosecco). Bottled at the estate without fining or filtration, just a micro-dose of sulfur.

Philippe Viret

Philippe Viret

Philippe and his father Alain have created a paradise for vines, which is hardly surprising when you consider that the area was called "Paradise Hills" in Roman times! Everything here is exceptional: a cathedral cellar, built according to the geometry of the golden ratio,...
