One of Morantin’s more complex wines... A nose with notes of red fruits, cocoa, cinnamon, prune. On the palate, this wine remains eminently smooth, beautifully fresh, and boasts lovely texture, altogether offering instant pleasure. A luscious cuvée... Decanting is recommended: 2 hours.

A cuvée of 100% Côt, also known as Malbec in other regions. From 30-year-old vines farmed organically and planted in the commune of Pouillé on clay soils. This parcel is owned by Mikaël Bouges, an organic winegrower certified by ECOCERT. Harvest by hand, of course. In the winery: 15 days of maceration, gentle pressing to preserve the fruit flavours, and almost a year of maturation in 450-l half-muid barrels and 20-hl vats. Bottled with a micro-dose of sulphur.
Noëlla Morantin
Noëlla Morantin decided to plunge into a new career at the age of 28. Dropping everything, she enrolled in a viticulture and oenology programme, which soon led to a series of internships with such quality names as Agnès and René Mosse in Anjou, and Philippe Pacalet in Burgundy… Her growing CV would impress Junko Araï, a Japanese importer who also owned vines in France happened to be looking...
