Planas - Rum Diplomatico
Nose carried by notes of buttered toast, vanilla, coffee, dried coconut and dried banana. The palate shows a creamy texture, the coconut is still present and enhanced by a mocha touch. Long finish with subtle notes of butterscotch. A clear and crystalline rum, which presents all of the power and aromatic richness of an old rum.

Planas is a very specific Venezuelan rum, since it is a "white" rum which actually isn’t one! It is a rum produced from a blend of distillates from copper pot stills and column stills (or Coffey still). The rum is then aged for six years in American oak barrels, ex-bourbon barrels. At the end of the aging, the rum is naturally colored, and it is a process of six charcoal filtrations that allows it to regain its original clarity.
