An expressive nose of citron fruit, raisins, hazelnut, and chamomile... The palate is balanced, smooth, blending freshness and volume. A very lovely cuvée, crafted for food pairings.
Chardonnay from vines around 40 years old, grown at the En Daisey and Bully vineyard sites, facing south. Vinification: whole grape bunches pressed slowly, with natural settling by gravity, and alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in barrels. Matured on lees for 14 months. Bottled with a light dose of sulphites. Open 1-2 hours before serving, and may be decanted to remove gas, if desired.
Claire Naudin from the Domaine Naudin-Ferrand has quite a liability in viticulture, since her lineage was involved in the vineyards from 1850... and even 1500 if we go back to the Naudin’s ancestors, who were then plowing in the vineyards.
