Clos du Chapeau - 2023 - Domaine de l'Arlot

Pinot Noir from biodynamic vines planted in the village of Comblanchien, on soils of clay and limestone. The parcel of 1.6 ha has the shape of a hat (chapeau in French) which gives the cuvée its name. The grapes were harvested by hand from September 6th to 12th, 2023. Total destemming, 7 days of cold pre-fermentation maceration, 18 days of fermentation in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts and daily pump-overs. 11 months of aging in barrels (30% new oak), followed by 1.5 months in tank. Bottled on September 5th and 6th, 2024.
