Vin de France

At Pur Jus, you’ll notice that all wines labeled Vin de France are now grouped together under a single category. Not because we love throwing everything into the same basket, but simply because we don’t really have a choice: European regulations forbid us from mentioning the region, hinting at a vineyard area, or even dropping a tiny clue… that’s just how it is. But behind this somewhat impersonal designation, there are winemakers who choose it deliberately. Why? Because the AOCs, with their strict rules, don’t always reflect the richness and creativity of our winemakers. By stepping outside that framework, they gain freedom — and the result is unique, living cuvées that don’t fit in boxes but speak straight to the heart and to our taste buds! 

We now have over 200 wines flying the Vin de France flag, and we regret not being able to tell you more about them… But between us, we know some of you will recognize the region thanks to your knowledge of grapes, styles, or even the domaines themselves. And as always, we’ll stand with those who prefer making wine over following rules.
