Mercurey "Les Vignes Blanches" Qvevris - 2020 - Frédéric Cossard
Domaine de Chassorney
Complex nose carried by notes of red fruits, cherry and raspberry, enhanced by soft spices, a floral hint and a mineral sensation on the second nose. In perfect harmony with the fruity palate, slender and long, thin tannins without any astringency, the amphora gives a very nice patina.

100% Pinot Noir from 30-year-old vines farmed organically and planted on a very beautiful parcel with clay and limestone soils. Vinification of whole grape bunches, with 3 weeks of maceration, gentle pressing to preserve the fruit, and one year of aging in qvevris, those large clay amphorae buried in the ground, following the Georgian tradition. Unfined, unfiltered, zero added sulphur!
